|HONOLULU, HAWAII -- January 1998 - M. Alani Liu has joined Outrigger
Hotels & Resorts in the newly-created position of Director of SalesCondominiums/Resorts.
Liu, who is based in California, will focus her efforts entirely on selling
Outrigger's resort condominiums with top wholesalers, retail agents and
customers in Northern California and throughout the Western United States.
Liu brings to Outrigger over twenty years of experience in travel industry sales and marketing. Most recently she was the regional sales manager for Village Resorts Hawaii based in California. Prior to that, she spent almost 15 years in a variety of administrative and managerial sales positions with Classic Hawaii, one of the largest travel wholesalers specializing in selling Hawaii. Liu's earlier sales experiences have also included positions with Roberts Hawaii Tours, Holiday Inns, Inc., Singapore Airlines and Hawaiian Airlines.

"The caliber of Alani's experience and her reputation within the industry will prove extremely helpful in her dealings on behalf of Outrigger with retail travel agencies and wholesale tour operators."
Liu, who attended Windward Community College for two years, is an active member in a number of industry travel organizations, including South Bay Women in Travel and Norcal Hawaii Ohana. She is also a board member of the Monterey Bay Travellarians.
Outrigger Hotels & Resorts is Hawaii's largest hotel company and the 28th largest in the U.S., offering 29 hotels and resort condominiums throughout Hawaii and the Marshall Islands, with projects currently underway in Palau, Guam, French Polynesia and Fiji. Outrigger's affiliate, Outrigger Lodging Services, manages nearly two dozen hotels and resorts throughout the U.S. mainland.
