Caribiner International Revolutionizes Business Travel with New In-Room Technology Available at Hotels

Working Away from the Office Has Never Been Easier
---
ATLANTA, March 16, 1998 - Atlanta-based Caribiner International, (NYSE: CWC) the worldwide leader in global business communications, announced that its Hotel Services Group now provides computer workstations referred to as the "Nomad" to select hotels and resorts in 19 cities across the U.S. The Nomad system is a portable workstation that is literally wheeled into a hotel room, enabling business travelers to enjoy the convenience of an in- room office on a daily or hourly basis for a rental fee.

The Nomad includes a desktop PC and a HP Office Jet color printer, fax, copier and scanner. Each unit is loaded with the latest Microsoft Office software, as well as Internet service software from AOL, MSN and CompuServe. In addition, the system is set up to provide external output for monitor/projector presentations.

"Recent trends show that more and more executives are spending the work week traveling and less time in the office," said Jon Waugh, marketing director of hotel services for Caribiner. "However, with Nomad, they have the opportunity to be as productive and efficient as if they were actually working in the office."

The benefits of the Nomad system are overwhelming. It enables business travelers to make the most of their time since all of the standard items available in a business center can be conveniently delivered to their room on a cart -- with no restrictions on hours and availability.

Not only can Nomad users receive on-site technical support from Caribiner's hotel property representatives at no charge, but they also have access to 24-hour, seven days-a-week Hewlett Packard support for hardware and software problems simply by calling a toll-free number, which is provided with the unit.

Caribiner International, through a marketing agreement with Nomad Technologies, Inc., is the distributor of Nomad to the hotel, convention and trade show industries for rental applications and currently provides the Nomad systems at locations in the following cities: Atlanta, Albuquerque, Charleston, Charlotte, Denver, Indianapolis, Los Angeles, Miami, Minneapolis, Orlando, Naples, Fl., New Orleans, New York, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Rancho Mirage, Ca., San Antonio, Seattle and Tampa.

Caribiner plans the rollout of Nomad systems to additional locations in May 1998, with more than 100 four- and five-star hotel properties offering the Nomad service by year-end. Currently, Caribiner has more than 40 offices around the world and provides audiovisual and/or business center services in more than 500 hotels, conference and convention centers throughout North America.
