NEW YORK, NY (January 7, 1998)  President Paul Jones (Atlanta) and vice president Sean Hennessey (New York) of Hotel Partners have confirmed the sale of New York City-based Medallion Hotels' six-hotel portfolio to CapStar Hotel Company, for a final sales price of $150 million.  Hotel Partners was the exclusive agent for Medallion Hotels in this transaction.

The Medallion portfolio includes six upscale, full-service hotels in major metropolitan markets  four in Texas, one in Oklahoma and one in Kentucky.  The portfolio includes:

• the 382-room Houston Medallion Hotel,
• the 296-room Dallas Medallion Hotel,
• the 249-room Midland Hilton and Towers,
• the 237-room Austin North Hilton and Towers,
• the 399-room Oklahoma City Medallion Hotel
• the 322-room Seelbach Hotel in Louisville.
