Washington, D.C., December 16, 1997: Hans Bruland, General Manager of the ANA Hotel, Washington, D.C., is pleased to announce the following appointments to the hotel's Executive Committee:

Neeru Dhawan was appointed Director of Marketing. Previously Director of Sales and Marketing for the Watergate Hotel, Dhawan has fifteen years of experience in the hospitality industry, serving the luxury market at properties such as the Four Seasons Hotel, Washington, the Willard Inter-Continental, and The Fairmont Hotel, New Orleans. In her current position, Dhawan will supervise a staff of twenty in departments such as Sales, Catering, Conference Services and Public Relations. Dhawan is a member of several business organizations including Meeting Professionals International, American Society of Association Executives, Women of
Washington, and the Georgetown Business Association.

Christian Clerc was appointed Director of Rooms. Clerc joins the ANA Hotel from the Newport Bay Club Hotel, Disneyland, in Paris, France, where he served as Rooms Division Manager. He has extensive experience in the Rooms, Food and Beverage, as well as Sales and Marketing divisions in hotels such as the Raphael Hotel, Rome, the Carlton Hotel, Washington, and the Club Maeva Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. Clerc has worked within the hospitality industry since 1988, after receiving a degree in hotel management from the Ecole Hoteliere de Lausanne, in Switzerland. In his current position, Clerc will supervise the Front Office, Concierge, Guest Services, and Housekeeping departments.
