Nikko Hotels International Launches New World Wide Web Site
For Global Hotel Reservations and Information

NEW YORK, NY - November 17, 1997--Are you planning a vacation or a business trip, or do you simply want to know what is happening with a luxury hospitality leader? The answer, like so many answers today, is just a modem's dial-up and a few keystrokes away.

Nikko Hotels International announces the launch of its Web site at www.nikkohotels.com. The site, created by
CCG Online of Denver, Colorado, provides detailed information on each of the luxury Nikko Hotels International
properties around the world as well as their Nikko Ryokan and JAL City establishments.

Visitors to the site who enter the online sweepstakes contest will have the opportunity to win a trip for two to the
Nikko Hotels International destination hotel of their choice. From now until the end of the year, guests who book
Nikko Hotels International visits on the Web site will receive 30 to 50% off the regular room rates, subject to
availability. Discount stay dates extend from December 1, 1997 to March 31, 1998.

Web visitors will also find cutting-edge, multimedia features and interactive map navigation. The special
navigation allows users to find the perfect hotel for their needs with greater ease and fewer page downloads than
traditional online maps.

"The Nikko Hotels International Web site is designed specifically for ease-of-use and interactive communication
with our customers around the world," said Evelyne Sansaricq, Director, Marketing Support Global Distribution,
Nikko Hotels International. "The site is designed so that users can view information about our portfolio of hotels
worldwide, and even make reservations online."

Users may select from a variety of options:

Hotels-- Detailed profiles of all Nikko Hotels International luxury properties worldwide, including brief descriptions of two additional chains: The Nikko Ryokan Collection and Hotel JAL City.

Meeting Planning-- Information on each hotel consists of facilities, listings, meeting planning and local information, and in many cases, a photo and area map.  This section provides an online request-for-proposal form allowing event planners to instantly send their requirements to Nikko Hotels International and receive a quick
response.

Corporate Information-- This area provides news releases about new hotels and programs, historical information and brief corporate fact sheets.

Reservations-- A link to the central reservations system, which allows travelers to secure their business and leisure travel plans online. A user can link directly from a hotel's page to 'check availability' and obtain the most current rates in one easy step.

E-Mail Updates-- Users have the option to subscribe to an e-mail newsletter which features last-minute specials and important travel information.

Feedback-- Users can also E-mail comments about the Nikko Hotels International properties, and receive a reply from a Nikko Hotels International executive.

"We've made the graphics visually appealing yet easy to download, so users don't have to endure long delays as
they wait for the pages to appear on their computer screens," said Sansaricq. "Because our company and our
customers span the globe, our Web site provides quick and easy access to a broad scope of information. Our
Web site is designed to help customers privately examine their options at their own pace and to take a look at
some locations around the world where they might not have traveled before."

Nikko Hotels International will continuously enhance the site, adding additional functionality, in the forthcoming
months. Plans include a Japanese language version of the complete site as well as a comprehensive meeting
planner guide.
