California's Monterey County Travel and Tourism Alliance (MCTTA) today announced an agreement with WorldRes

SAN MATEO, CA, September 25 - California's Monterey County Travel and Tourism Alliance (MCTTA)today announced an agreement with WorldRes, Inc.(TM), the leading Internet-based hotel marketing and reservation system. Starting in December, the partnership will provide MCTTA's 200 potential hotel marketing partners with the option to take real-time reservations directly from the MCTTA site (www.GoMonterey.org). "This alliance with WorldRes transforms our site into the most thorough source of information for visitors to Monterey County," said MCTTA's executive director, Burke Pease.

Participating properties will receive a free bookable listing on WorldRes' partner Web sites, including SABRE's Travelocity, NetChannel, Fujitsu's WildBird site in Japan, and WorldRes' own hotel reservation Web site, Places To Stay(TM) (www.placestostay.com). In addition, properties will be able to conduct one-to-one marketing campaigns via e-mail through the WorldRes system at no cost. WorldRes will also return a portion of the transaction fees generated through the Monterey site to the MCTTA to be used for additional marketing programs.
