Tom Weiskopf's First Latin American Course to Be Built in Los Cabos, Mexico;
Cabo Del Sol Luxury Golf Resort, Site for 18-Hole Signature Course

LOS CABOS, B.C.S., Mexico, Sept. 12, 1997 -  Tom Weiskopf is designing and overseeing construction
of his first Latin American golf course at the Cabo del Sol resort at the tip of the Baja peninsula in Los Cabos,
Mexico.

The 18-hole Weiskopf signature design course overlooking the Sea of Cortes, is set for groundbreaking in
October of this year. This course will be part of the oceanfront resort community Cabo del Sol, developed by
Newport Beach based Koll Resorts International (K.R.I.) and their Mexican partners, Grupo ICA, S.A. de S.V.
"When Koll Resorts International approached me to design their second course at Cabo del Sol, I was thrilled
with the opportunity to be a part of this world class project and contribute to Cabo's success as a premier golf
resort destination," says Weiskopf. I am also excited to work with the K.R.I. and Grupo ICA Team."
The new Weiskopf course will spread across 140 acres of gently rolling desert terrain with a minimum of four and
sometimes five sets of fees on each hole. The design of this "target-style course" will also incorporate large
landing areas and few forced carries to ensure an enjoyable golf experience for players of all levels yet be
challenging enough in tournament conditions.

"My design philosophy is to create a memorable golfing experience by capitalizing on the spectacular natural
beauty of mountain, desert and ocean views Cabo del Sol offers," says Weiskopf. "Design plans will combine a
'mountain style' course with the panoramic views of the Sea of Cortes from at least 14 of the holes, giving players
the feeling of being on an ocean course."

Currently budgeted between six and eight million dollars, the course is slated to open January 1, 1999. Vice
president of golf operations for Koll Resorts, Rick Renick, projects 21,000 rounds in its first year of operation and
approximately 36,000 rounds thereafter based on players generated from the Fiesta Americana, Grand Hyatt and
Ritz-Carlton hotels now under construction at Cabo del Sol.

"Mr. Weiskopf is renowned for his course design and has demonstrated tremendous success designing courses
in desert environments similar to that of Cabo del Sol," says Renick. "We expect this course to rank among Tom
Weiskopf's best and highly acclaimed courses recognized throughout the world."

Cabo del Sol, located on 1,800 acres of oceanfront property, features an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus designed course
ranked 68th in the world by Golf magazine. Upon completion, Cabo del Sol will include three championship 18-
hole courses, four deluxe hotel properties, 3,400 residences and tournament tennis facilities. For information call
