HONOLULU (September 17, l997) Aston Hotels & Resorts has named Jerry Fellows as area vice president for west Maui, effective August 1. According to Gary Ettinger, Aston' s vice president of operations, the position was created to bestow more management responsibility at the regional  level, allowing Aston's corporate office to focus more resources on its international expansion.

Fellows oversees management of Aston's four resorts in west Maui: Maui Kaanapali Villas, Aston Kaanapali Shores, Aston at Papakea Resort and Mahana at Kaanapali. His primary responsibility is to serve as a liaison between Aston's corporate office in Honolulu, general managers and the unit owners at each property.

"Jerry is an extremely talented and experienced resort manager," Ettinger said. "During Jerry's 15 years with Aston, he has consistently gone above and beyond the call of duty. He brings maturity, experience, energy, creativity and a sensitivity to all our guests and owners.

Fellows continues to serve as general manager of Aston Kaanapali Shores, where he is responsible for over 400 units and 200 employees. He has managed the property for over eight years.

His commitment to the hospitality industry includes serving on the boards of Hawaii Hotel Association and Maui Hotel Association.
