News for the Hospitality Executive |
Jenner, CA (May 6, 2013) – Shawn Prescott, formerly of Milwaukee’s SC Johnson and Yountville’s prestigious hotel Villagio Inn & Spa, has been appointed Sales and Events Manager at the iconic and historic Timber Cove Inn, along Sonoma Coast’s famed Highway One. Prescott comes from a family line of hospitality and cooking. His father worked in sales and marketing and his mother, Jill, was one of the nations’ cooking pioneers with her own PBS television show, “Ecole de Cuisine”. It was between his parents professions’ that Prescott would firmly land. His career started when he worked at his mother’s cooking school called appropriately enough, Ecole de Cuisine. He oversaw a staff of 40 and worked with the executive producers behind the much-lauded cooking show to come into his own. He moved to Napa Valley and worked at the beautiful Villagio Inn and Spa, located in the town of Yountville, home to Thomas Keller’s French Laundry and Bouchon as well as Napa’s own Cindy Pawclyn’s Mustard Grill. It was here as a Catering and Conference Services Manager that he established the hotel’s reputation for implementing delicious dining and food with events at the property. However, the mid-West beckoned him home and Prescott was working for SC Johnson, implementing group events up to 7,000 people. It was the all-American work ethic that kept him going, but he longed to be back in Northern California and Wine Country. As Sales & Event Manager for Timber Cove Inn, Prescott will be overseeing the day-to-day management of weddings and group sales as well as all catering in and around the property. He will work with Executive Chef Ben St. Clair and General Manager Keith Hill on bringing Timber Cove Inn’s excellent food and wine program to all the events on and off property.
