The Woodlands (Houston), Texas, May 7, 2013 … Benchmark Hospitality International®, a leading U.S.-based hospitality management company, has appointed Philippe C. Eversdijk general manager for the Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Curacao. Greg Champion, Benchmark’s chief operating officer, made the announcement. Santa Barbara Beach & Golf Resort, Curacao, is a Benchmark Resort® located on the exquisite Caribbean island of Curacao. “I am so pleased to welcome Philippe to Benchmark Hospitality International,” said Mr. Champion. “In addition to his mastering the language of Curacao, he brings significant leadership experience to his new role, and an important understanding of maximizing the resort’s potential on behalf of its customers and owners.” Philippe Eversdijk comes to his new role having previously served as general manager for the Marriott Clearwater Beach Hotel in Tampa Bay. Previous to this appointment he was vice president and general manager of the Safety Harbor Resort & Spa, located in Safety Harbor, Florida. Earlier in his career, Mr. Eversdijk held senior-level management positions in operations and food & beverage for resorts in Arizona and Florida. Mr. Eversdijk is a graduate of De Kogge Hotel, Catering and Management School Amsterdam, The Netherlands, where he earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Management. He is relocating to Curacao.
