New Orleans, LA (May 31, 2013) — Larry
Daniels, general manager of HRI Lodging’s Hyatt
French Quarter property, has been promoted to vice president/general
manager of
HRI Lodging, announced Gary Gutierrez, president of the company.
In
his new role, Daniels will have direct oversight of the Carey Watermark
Investors-owned assets managed by HRI Lodging. Those properties include
Hyatt
French Quarter, Hilton Garden Inn French Quarter/CBD, Hilton Garden Inn
Baton
Rouge, and Hampton Inn & Suites Legacy Park-Frisco.
Daniels
has worked with HRI Lodging since September 2011 as general manager of
the
Chateau Bourbon, which underwent an $18 million renovation and change
of flag
to the Hyatt French Quarter Hotel. Daniels led the operations team
through the
renovation and award-winning Hyatt conversion while transitioning the
Hyatt
French Quarter into one of the most recognized hotels in New Orleans.
Prior
to joining HRI Lodging, Daniels worked with Hyatt for more than 30
years. He
was the general manager for several hotels under the Hyatt Regency
flag, including
the Hyatt Regency DFW, Hyatt Regency New Brunswick, and Hyatt Regency
Cherry
Hill.
“Larry’s experience in the hospitality
industry and his knowledge of corporate operations and multimillion
dollar-renovations are of great importance in his new role, as he
assists with
the upcoming renovations of our three Hilton Garden Inn and Hampton Inn
&
Suites hotels,” said Gutierrez.
