Ultima Hospitality Acquires the DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport in Pennsylvania

The
135-room Hotel will Undergo a Multi-Million Dollar Renovation
Beginning in Q3 2013

 
CHICAGO, Ill. (May 10, 2013) – Ultima Hospitality, an industry leading investment and hotel management platform, today announced the purchase and planned enhancement of DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport. The 135-room hotel is conveniently located near the airport and 20 minutes from downtown Pittsburgh. The seller and transaction price were not disclosed.

The strong Pittsburgh market is showing rapid growth and there are local demand drivers that, combined with the property’s current performance and high service standards, create excellent opportunities to compete strategically,” said Mark Zettl, chief operating officer, Ultima Hospitality. “Our planned improvements will continue to elevate the customer experience at DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport.”

The newest addition to Ultima Hospitality’s portfolio will undergo a multi-million dollar renovation to revitalize the public spaces, meeting spaces, guest rooms and restaurant beginning in the third quarter of 2013.

“The hotel will remain a DoubleTree by Hilton, which means we will continue to deliver the personalized and welcoming hospitality that is synonymous with the brand – starting with the warm chocolate chip cookie that we present to each guest at check-in.” said Daniel Senisi, hotel manager, DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport. “The brand’s performance at this airport location has sustained vast success and we look forward to the property’s continued growth.”

DoubleTree by Hilton Pittsburgh Airport is a quick five miles from Pittsburgh International Airport and provides complimentary nonstop airport shuttle service. The hotel features a 24-hour fitness center, heated indoor pool and whirlpool, 24-hour business center, complimentary WiFi for all guests and 14,000 square feet of versatile meeting and event space.
