Tiburon, CA (June 5, 2013) – The Lodge at Tiburon, Tiburon’s quintessential hotel destination, has announced the completion of its nine-month long renovation. The contemporary Northern California coastal design features a multimillion-dollar remodel of the guestrooms, pool, lobby and the new Tiburon Tavern restaurant. These new design elements have refreshed and transformed the hotel into a sublime seaside escape, while maintaining its warm hospitality that guests know and love.

The Lodge at Tiburon’s newly renovated restaurant, Tiburon Tavern reveals its complete redesign including brand-new culinary offerings, cocktail menu and elevated atmosphere. The name, Tiburon Tavern, complements the restaurant’s new focus on sophisticated comfort cuisine paired with Northern California’s freshest ingredients and coastal influences. Chef Jamie Prouten has designed the menu to showcase approachable, local cuisine with ingredients locally sourced or grown by nearby farms and artisans. Dish highlights include award-winning Grilled Cheese with tomato dip, Roasted Mary’s Chicken, Seared Ocean Trout and the famous Head to Tail burger. The interior has been redesigned using reclaimed wood and rustic touches such as Edison light bulbs and old-school chalkboards and the atmosphere has been transformed to encompass the qualities of a neighborhood gastropub.

Anchoring the space is the sprawling bar composed of local repurposed barn wood, industrial metals, a 60-inch flat-screen TV, and 12 beer taps. It is also the first restaurant in Marin County to offer a self-service wine bar – WineStation® by Napa Technology, the world’s first intelligence-based, automated, temperature-controlled wine dispensing and preservation system. Additionally, the outdoor patios have been expanded to encourage guests to spend time fully enjoying the scenery, nearly perfect weather, and ambiance of the beautiful seaside town of Tiburon. With the expanded patios, fireside dining, inviting spaces, and live music, this neighborhood restaurant provides the perfect atmosphere for guests of all ages.

Inspired by the bayside influences, all guestrooms have been redesigned using soft colors from a palette of blues, greens and whites. Design and structural additions include new furniture, bedding, linens, flooring, high definition televisions, artwork and updated bathrooms. Special attention has also been provided to the public spaces including the addition of an iPad wall in the lobby. Several devices have been installed and loaded with the latest and greatest applications to make recommendations and help guests navigate to nearby activities and restaurants.

The Lodge at Tiburon’s renovated pool features new cabanas, lounges, tiling and various structural improvements surrounding the area. Beginning this summer, the hotel will launch brand new poolside amenities including plush towels and a food and beverage menu that highlights fun and creative refreshments. Just in time for summer family fun, the revamped pool is the site of activities for kids and adults of all ages. Activities include kid-friendly applications on the new iPad wall, Friday night pool-side movies during the summer months and fun outdoor games.
