Carl Anderson as the property’s new Director of Food and Beverage.
Anderson joins the hotel's team of experts as a seasoned luxury
hospitality specialist with more than 14 years of experience in the
food and beverage industry. Anderson plans to complement the Honolulu
hotel by further conceptualizing and enhancing its food and beverage
operations, including Addiction nightclub and The Study, alongside
Executive Chef Scott Toner.
Prior to joining The Modern Honolulu, Anderson cultivated his impressive hospitality experience in both Chicago and on the Hawaiian island of Lanai with acclaimed brands such as Hotel Intercontinental Chicago, The Westin Michigan Avenue Chicago, Wolfgang Puck Events and Four Seasons Resort Lanai at Manele Bay. During his role at Wolfgang Puck Catering, Anderson simultaneously architected four Chicago-based boutique restaurant concepts to media acclaim, overseeing all food and beverage direction, while also overseeing several large scale publicly acclaimed special events. “Carl is a welcomed addition to our dynamic team and will oversee all food and beverage operations at The Modern Honolulu,,” said Gerald Glennon, The Modern Honolulu’s Managing Director. “His impressive experience and passion for the industry will play an integral role in The Modern’s culinary programs moving forward.” As The Modern Honolulu’s Food and Beverage Director, Anderson will be charged with overseeing all of the hotel’s food and beverage outlets including The Grove, The Study, Addiction nightclub, poolside bar, in-room dining and banquet and catering services.
