Today,
Choice Hotels International, Inc. (NYSE: CHH), one of the world's
largest hotel
companies, announced the promotion of Chief Technology Officer Todd
Davis to
Chief Information Officer. Davis will assume his new role effective
immediately
at the Choice Hotels International offices in Phoenix, Arizona, where
he is
already based. "Under Todd's leadership, Choice Hotels has
built
industry recognized, state-of-the-art global technology platforms,"
said Patrick
Pacious, executive vice president of Choice Hotels International.

increased scope of
responsibility and the exceptional technology leadership he provides

company. During the past 18 months, he has assumed direct ownership
over
Corporate IT and vital back-office systems, as well as playing a global
role
with the internationalization of Choice Hotels' technology systems,
particularly in the overseas deployment phase of choiceADVANTAGE,
Choice
Hotels' industry-leading property management system. Under Davis' management, Choice Hotels has
earned multiple
recent honors for technology excellence, including a Hospitality
Technology
Visionary Award and an Oracle Innovation Award. Further, as the most
senior
executive at the Choice Hotels offices in Phoenix, Davis has helped to
develop
and foster a culture of collaboration and innovation among associates. Davis' career in IT spans nearly two
decades. Prior to
joining Choice Hotels nearly 18 years ago, he was an advanced systems
engineer
for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) focusing on hotel industry solutions.
Prior
to EDS, Mr. Davis designed global reservation solutions for Cendant
Corporation
and focused on the consolidation of Cendant's multiple data centers. Davis is a graduate of Northern Arizona
University, where he
earned his bachelor's degree in business administration with emphasis
in hotel
and restaurant management. He serves on the Northern Arizona University
School
of Hotel and Restaurant Management Advisory Board.
