Digital Signage Expo 2013:
January 7, 2013 - The Digital Signage Expo (DSE) 2013 is just around the corner. Co-located with the Interactive Technology Expo and Digital Content Show, the DSE will present its three-day conference on Feb. 26-28, 2013, with the exhibition hall open for two days starting on Feb. 27-28 at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas. Bocko, Ph.D., chief technology officer for Corning Glass Technologies, Corning, will deliver the Wednesday, Feb. 27 keynote address at DSE’s 10th Anniversary 2013 Las Vegas event. Dr. Bocko—one of the foremost glass experts in the display industry and who has contributed to the design, technology delivery, and commercialization of innovative new technologies at Corning, will present “Looking Forward by Looking Back: A Futuristic Retrospective on the Trends in Display and Digital Signage.” In keeping with the conference theme, “Innovation Inspires,” Bocko’s remarks will address those key developments he believes have had the greatest impact on the digital signage industry, describe the compelling value propositions for advanced capabilities such as high resolution, interactivity, 3D, transparent displays, and audio, and the innovative role each will play in the future. On Feb. 28, a panel of industry experts will present “Digital Signage 2020: Eyes on the Future.” The panelists will share their vision of how technological advancements will inspire change and how these changes will shape the future of the digital signage industry. Curt Bailey, president of Sundberg-Ferar, will share his thoughts on product design evolution. Tim Huckaby, founder and chairman of InterKnowlogy, will present on interface advancements such as natural user interface (NUI) as the next big method of interaction.
