According to Mr. David, the renovation involves a transformation of the lobby space and adjacent public areas including the Bishop Grill restaurant into a "Greatroom" which replicates the "California Vineyards" theme of the newly renovated meeting space.  Key elements of the subtle, yet sophisticated ambiance include a palette of warm and inviting earth tones, use of wandering vines, rich earthy textures, and dark woods.

"The Greatroom concept has proven tremendously successful with both our hotel guests who seek a comfortable, wired place to work or relax outside of their guest rooms, as well as for area locals who want a place to hang out, conduct interviews, meet friends, and enjoy casual fare," notes Mr. David.

The new design has completely transformed the San Ramon Marriott's lobby which now features pod-like front desk stations, new contemporary styled lighting, more private seating areas, and rich vibrant artwork.  Additionally, the hotel's Bishop Grill restaurant and lounge space have been converted to a Greatroom featuring a day/night bar, cocktail cubbies, communal tables, comfortable seating areas, and state-of-the-art technology including six flat panel TVs over the new bar area.  A portion of the existing restaurant space has also been converted to flexible multi-use space to accommodate group meals and social functions with direct access to outdoor patios.
