DALLAS (February 6, 2013) – Pegasus
Solutions has named 19-year hospitality technology veteran Craig Barnby
vice president,
product services. In this role, Barnby will be responsible for overall
product
strategy and development for Pegasus’ powerful distribution, booking
and
reservation solutions. “With a background in hotel services, Craig is a creative and thoughtful leader who blends technological understanding with firsthand knowledge of front-of-house and reservations operations. This translates to an uncomplicated approach to delivering solutions capable of driving our clients’ business,” said David Millili, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. Most recently, Barnby served as director, hospitality solutions architect for Orbitz Worldwide, providing strategic planning and technical insight throughout the organization. In the past, he also was the senior product manager for Cendant Travel Distribution Services, covering the Trip.com, Cheaptickets.com and Lodging.com sites. Barnby started his career in hospitality services at Hyatt Hotels and Resorts, where he quickly advanced through multiple roles in sales, customer service and account management. Barnby was elected to the Hotel Electronic Distribution Network Association (HEDNA) Board of Directors in December 2012, and is a key contributor to the HEDNA Connectivity Working Group, which collaborates to help improve the efficiency of distribution systems.
