Upgrades are Underway at the Mainsail Suites Hotel
& Conference Center in Tampa, Florida

An August 2013 Completion is Planned


TAMPA, Fla. (Feb.19, 2013) – Originally a 360-room property, the Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center in Tampa, Fla. will soon transition to a total of 120 one- and two-bedroom suites. The conversion will include $1.5 million in interior upgrades to both its rooms, as well as to the hotel lobby.  Scheduled for completion by August 2013, room renovations will include upgraded flooring throughout living rooms, bedrooms, and bathrooms; new sofa sleeper and lounge chair in living rooms; white faux wood blinds throughout; new light fixtures in dining rooms; Simmons® Beautyrest® Euro Top mattress and box springs; upgraded bedding accessories; flat screen television in all bedrooms; and new artwork throughout each unit.  Guest bathrooms will receive a complete overhaul, including new accessories in a brushed nickel finish; upgraded vanity marble countertops, lighting and mirrors; and grab bars in all tubs.  The hotel’s lobby area will receive fresh paint throughout and the guest check-in desk will be enhanced to include a stack stone backdrop and more modern signage. The remaining 240 units will be converted to rental residences operating as Mainsail Apartment Homes.

The centrally located Mainsail Suites Hotel & Conference Center is just minutes from a number of family attractions, national sporting venues, world-class shopping areas, historic districts, top-rated golf courses, and Tampa’s bustling downtown area and waterfront Convention Center.  All suites feature private balcony or patio, fully equipped kitchen, separate living and dining areas, full-bath amenities, high-speed Internet, and flat screen TVs in bedrooms and living areas.  Additional conveniences include complimentary shuttle transportation to the Tampa International Airport and within a three-mile radius of the property; outdoor free-form heated pool and Jacuzzi; spacious fitness center; guest laundry facility; convenience and sundry store; free parking; dry cleaning/valet service; patio and barbecue area; and full-service Latitudes Pub & Grill for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
