  Michael O’Shaughnessy Named as General Manager for Wentworth By the Sea Hotel & Spa
in Portsmouth/New Castle, New Hampshire

Portsmouth/New Castle, New Hampshire (February 28, 2013) –Michael O’Shaughnessy is the new General Manager of the Wentworth By the Sea Hotel & Spa, responsible for all operations of the historic grand hotel.. He brings many years’ experience in the hotel industry, most recently at the Four Season Hotel in San Francisco.

Mr. O’Shaughnessy brings the rooms and food and beverage experience necessary for management of Wentworth By the Sea that relies heavily on its restaurant and catering business. He joined Four Seasons Hotels in 2004 at the 5-star/5-diamond, 273-room Four Seasons Boston. Over the course of five years, he managed several food and beverage areas, overseeing the restaurant, in-room dining and banquet business until September 2009. Transferring to the 277-room, luxury Four Season San Francisco, he was Food and Beverage Manager there from 2009 to 2011 and then spent a year in the rooms division, overseeing the launch of the Four Seasons corporate innovation program before returning to New England. He has served as interim General Manager at Wentworth By the Sea since November.

In addition to hospitality, Mr. O’Shaughnessy brings experience as an account executive at Hill-Holiday in Boston and a degree in marketing and management from Loyola University in New Orleans to his new assignment. A native of Adare, Ireland, he and his wife, Nicole, are residing in Portsmouth.
