The 81-suite Home2 Suites by Hilton Opens in Oxford, Alabama

McLean, Va. (Feb. 12, 2013) – Home2 Suites by Hilton, the award-winning mid-tier, all-suite hotel brand designed for modern business travelers and extended-stay guests, announced the opening of its 14th U.S. hotel in Oxford, Ala. The Home2 Suites Oxford is the first property for the brand in the state. The first guest to check-in yesterday received a Home2 welcome basket.

The five-story, 81-suite hotel is located at 300 Colonial Drive, Oxford, Ala., close to downtown Anniston and the Talladega Superspeedway, as well as local businesses including BAE Systems, Precision Strip, General Dynamics, Honda, Civilian Marksmanship, US Army Depot, NABI and Doncaster/Southern Tool. Nearby attractions include the Cider Ridge Golf Club, the Cheaha State Park and the Berman Museum of World History. The property is owned by Oxford Hospitality LLC and managed by Ascent Hospitality LLC.

The hotel offers easy access to technology and inviting community spaces, as well as the trademark Home2 Suites amenities standard in all properties, such as the Oasis lobby area, the Home2 MKT for grab-and-go items, Spin2 Cycle and the “Inspired Table” complimentary breakfast. The hotel also features an outdoor saline pool, and is pet-friendly, featuring a dedicated outdoor area for four-legged guests.

Home2 Suites by Hilton currently operates 14 hotels and has nearly 70 properties in its development pipeline. The brand currently has 10 properties under active construction in Huntsville, Ala.; Jackson/Ridgeland, Miss.; Philadelphia, Pa.; Rahway, N.J.; Pittsburgh, Pa.; Baltimore, Md.; Augusta, Ga.; Austin, Texas; Nashville, Tenn.; and Florida City, Fla. Future properties are slated for many of the nation’s major markets, including Houston, Atlanta, Washington, D.C. and Denver. Home2 Suites also recently announced its first signed deal in Edmonton, Canada, and is approved for expansion into Mexico.
