YORK, Feb. 26, 2013 -- The
Hotel Association of New York City, Inc. today announced that to
follow its $100,000 contribution
to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, HANYC is now embarking on
another
significant effort to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy, by
participating
in the "Bidding For Good" online auction.
Established in 1878, the Hotel Association of New York City, Inc. is
one of the oldest professional trade associations in the nation. Its
membership includes more than 260 of the finest hotels in New York
City, representing more than 70,000 rooms and 32,000 employees. It is
an internationally recognized leader in New York City's $5 billion

The auction ends on March 1 and all proceeds will go to the Mayor's Fund. "Hurricane Sandy had devastating effects on New York, and many people are still suffering," said Joseph E. "The Hotel Association of New York City is proud to follow its significant contribution to the Mayor's Fund last year by continuing to help those in need. Many of our members are auctioning off exciting hotel packages and the proceeds will be utilized to help Sandy victims in New York."
