  Hotel Association of New York City (HANYC) Participating in "Bidding For Good"
Online Auction to Support Victims of Hurricane Sandy

NEW YORK, Feb. 26, 2013 -- The Hotel Association of New York City, Inc. today announced that to follow its $100,000 contribution to the Mayor's Fund to Advance New York City, HANYC is now embarking on another significant effort to support the victims of Hurricane Sandy, by participating in the "Bidding For Good" online auction.

HANYC hoteliers are offering hotel packages including luxurious accommodations to bidders. The auction ends on March 1 and all proceeds will go to the Mayor's Fund.

"Hurricane Sandy had devastating effects on New York, and many people are still suffering," said Joseph E. Spinnato, President, Hotel Association of New York City, Inc. "The Hotel Association of New York City is proud to follow its significant contribution to the Mayor's Fund last year by continuing to help those in need. Many of our members are auctioning off exciting hotel packages and the proceeds will be utilized to help Sandy victims in New York."

Herve Houdre, Regional Director of Operations and General Manager, InterContinental Barclay, said, "We are delighted to participate in the auction to support the Mayor's Fund and to help the many people who are still affected by Hurricane Sandy. Let the bidding begin!"
