Provenance Hotels Consolidates Portland, Oregon Area Sales Team and
Hires Dani Boss as Portland Area Director of Sales

Promotes Chris Bebo to Regional General Manager
Overseeing the Hotel Lucia and the Governor Hotel

February 4, 2013 – PORTLAND, Ore. – Provenance Hotels has consolidated its Portland-area sales efforts to better service corporate and group meetings clients at the historic Governor Hotel, chic Hotel Lucia and glamorous Hotel deluxe. The three hotels are conveniently located within easy walking distance from each other and, together, offer 357 sleeping rooms and more than 31,000 sq. ft. of meeting space in the heart of in downtown Portland.

The company is pleased to announce the hiring of Dani Boss, a 20-year hospitality veteran, as Portland area director of sales to lead the newly centralized six person sales team. Boss, who most recently served as director of marketing at the DoubleTree by Hilton in Portland, has extensive experience in in hotel sales and sales team management.

A native of the Northwest, Boss began her hospitality career in Alaska and broke into the Portland market at the Red Lion Jantzen Beach with a variety of sales and operational roles. With talent and passion for sales, she served as director of sales/assistant general manager at the Homewood Suites by Hilton in Beaverton, Ore. and director of sales at Oxford Suites in Portland before returning to the Red Lion Jantzen Beach to assume the director of sales and marketing role, her most recent position. Boss and her Provenance Hotels Portland-area sales team, which includes managers Kara Swadley, Todd Widme, Audra Stephens and Gena Berry and coordinators Claire Fong and Caitlin Cooley, are based at the Governor Hotel. Also on the team is Claudia Smith, who is based at Hotel deLuxe where she is catering sales manager.

Provenance Hotels is also pleased to announce the promotion of Chris Bebo to regional general manager overseeing Hotel Lucia and the Governor Hotel in downtown Portland. The appointment formalizes a role Bebo has played since Provenance Hotels acquired the Governor Hotel in May 2012 and he began serving as the property’s interim general manager in addition to general manager at Hotel Lucia, a position he has held since October 2011.

This new position marks a return to the Governor Hotel for Bebo. A graduate of Arizona State University, he began his career at hotels in Michigan and Wisconsin and came to the Pacific Northwest to serve as operations director at the Governor Hotel, then a Grand Heritage property. Bebo then joined Provenance Hotels as opening general manager of Hotel deLuxe and served at the helm of the company’s chic, urban Hotel Max in Seattle, Wash. before taking a role as general manager of the Hilton Garden Inn in Beaverton, Ore., a CSM property. In his new role, he will split his time between Hotel Lucia and the Governor Hotel.
