St. Louis, MO) – February 2013 – IACC-Americas President T.J. Fimmano announced the appointment of Anthony Kubanin of Ontario, Canada as IACC’s seventh Board Associate following a comprehensive process through which member properties in the United States and Canada could nominate exceptional staff members under the age of 30.

Kubanin, who currently serves as Information Technology Analyst at Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre in Toronto, Canada, will represent Generation X/Y on the IACC Board of Directors with a focus on identifying and advising the Board on emerging trends.
 
At The Ivey Spencer Leadership Centre, he manages the web and social media activities, supporting the sales and marketing efforts of the conference centre, is at the heart of providing support to meeting planners, speakers & presenters and delegates and who is in an excellent position to identify new meeting industry trends and helping meeting planners develop more productive meetings.
 
Kubanin, who at age 23 is the youngest Board Associate yet, is a member of Generation Y, defined as the generation born in the late 1980s and early 1990s and regarded as increasingly familiar with digital and electronic technology. He is a graduate of the Metro College of Technology and rich background in hospitality.
 
The term of the board associate extends for 18 months, starting on January 1 and ending with the annual conference in the following year. The Board Associate service includes six Board of Directors meetings and two annual conferences. Anthony will attend and participate in IACC’s 32nd annual conference at Eaglewood Resort & Spa in Chicago this March and will report to the Board on his observations and experiences at the end of his term.
