Winegardner & Hammons Names General Manager, Sales Account Manager
of Courtyard Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods


New Courtyard is scheduled to open in December 2012
 
PITTSBURGH – October 22, 2012 – Winegardner & Hammons, Inc. (WHI) has named Rick Antestenis general manager and Annie Tamburro sales account manager of the Courtyard Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods, set to open in the Cranberry Woods Business Park, Cranberry Township, in December 2012.

Antestenis is focusing on sourcing and establishing business to ensure the hotel’s financial plan is met, recruiting and engaging staff to service customers and developing strong ties with local businesses to generate revenue and strengthen community relationships.

Tamburro is responsible for direct sales to groups and securing new business for the hotel.

Courtyard Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods will hire approximately 30 associates. The property will include: 125 guest rooms including  16 extended stay suites; 1,000 square feet of meeting space; an indoor pool; fitness center; and The Bistro with a variety of dining selections. The Courtyard lobby will give individuals and groups more options for spaces to work or relax; communal tables, media pods and free high-speed Internet. Guests also can use the interactive GoBoard to access the latest news, weather, directions to area attractions and more.

WHI, a full-service hotel management company, manages 30 properties across the United States, including the Courtyard Pittsburgh North/Cranberry Woods and the adjacent Pittsburgh Marriott North.

A 20-year hospitality industry veteran, Antestenis was most recently the assistant general manager at the Pittsburgh Marriott North. Antestenis has held management positions such as chef and opening task force team member at several other hotels for WHI, including Cincinnati Marriott Northeast, Columbus Marriott Northwest, Renaissance Indianapolis North and Pittsburgh Marriott North. He has been with the company since 1994.

Antestenis is a member of the Greater Pittsburgh Hotel Association. He received his Associate of Business Administration at the Community College of Allegheny County in Pittsburgh.
 
Tamburro, who is multilingual, joins WHI with past experience from the Concord Hospitality Company, where she held sales positions in both the Courtyard by Marriott and Springhill Suites by Marriott brands. She has a Bachelor of Science from the College of Home Economics and Management Sciences.
