Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Casino & Spa Appoints
Chef Vincent Pellegrini as Executive Chef

PALM BEACH, ARUBA (October 26, 2012)
– Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Casino & Spa (www.aruba.hyatt.com ) is pleased to announce the appointment of Chef Vincent Pellegrini as its new Executive Chef.

Graduating from the Culinary School at SENAC in São Paulo, the Brazilian native began his career as an in-house chef at a large international company before switching his focus to hotels. Since then Chef Pellegrini has spent more than eight years in Latin American and six in the Caribbean opening the restaurants at properties like the Grand Hyatt São Paulo, Hyatt Regency Trinidad, and most recently, the Hyatt Regency Curacao.

“Vincent Pellegrini’s proven success and international background makes him the ideal candidate for the role of Executive Chef at Hyatt Regency Aruba,” said Fred Hoffmann, General Manager. “His passion for food, combined with his culinary expertise and welcoming personality make him an exciting new addition to our changing food and beverage landscape.”

As Executive Chef, Pellegrini will manage the resort’s multiple restaurants and will be responsible for conceptualizing their menus, including the new, upscale Mexican restaurant and refurbished Ruinas del Mar which will both open in December.  Chef will also implement Hyatt Hotels & Resorts’ global Food. Thoughtfully Sourced. Carefully Served. philosophy that focuses on sourcing and providing healthy options to guests.

Chef Pellegrini’s career highlights include planning and executing the menu at the Fifth Summit of the Americas held in Trinidad and Tobago in 2009, which was attended by 34 presidents and prime ministers. He was also responsible for the dinner at the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) for the Queen of England and the other presidents, kings, prime ministers, and heads-of-state attending the event.
