DALLAS
(October
16, 2012) – Pegasus Solutions has
named industry veteran Rainer Gruber as senior vice president
of client services. In this new role, Gruber will manage a global team
serving
Pegasus’ nearly 100,000 hotel clients to find new ways to drive
business,
including consultative distribution opportunities, new distribution
partners
and improved access to corporate travel planners.
Based in Frankfurt, Germany, Gruber has been with Pegasus for 12 years in positions ranging from regional director of sales and marketing to global vice president of revenue generation management. “Rainer’s expertise and enthusiasm for driving guest room sales to our hotel clients is evident in the tangible results he has delivered,” said David Millili, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “His actual hotel experience combined with the many roles he has held at Pegasus make him a natural fit for this role supervising client services across the organization.” Gruber most recently managed global revenue management activities for Pegasus’ hotel clients. He entered the industry as a general manager assistant at Bell Inn and Hill House in Essex, England. He then served in several roles within the Accor group in Austria and Germany, including front office, sales, and global sales and product management for ten years before joining Pegasus in 2000.
