Florida's Palm Beach Gardens Marriott Appoints Deborah Carr as General Manager
and Jeri Ann Hart as Director of Sales & Marketing

PALM BEACH, Fla. – October 2012 – The Palm Beach Gardens Marriott is pleased to announce the appointment of Deborah Carr as general manager and Jeri-Ann Hart as director of sales and marketing.  With the hotel’s recent renovation, the executives are looking forward to leading their team and the hotel to experience even greater success.
 
As general manager, Deborah Carr is responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations of the 279-room hotel.  In addition to managing a strong mix of business and leisure to achieve overall revenue results, Carr oversaw the completion of the recent $1.7 million renovation and rebuilt restaurant operations to appeal to the local clientele, exceeding last years revenue performance month over month.
 
Carr joins the team after opening The Omphoy Ocean Resort in Palm Beach, including two restaurants in collaboration with a celebrity chef.  She joined the Marriott Corporation as general manager of Courtyard by Marriott Melbourne and additional experience includes positions at The Brazilian Court Hotel and Condominiums in Palm Beach, Le Parker Meridien Hotel in New York City and the Grand Bay Hotel in Coconut Grove, Fla.  Carr completed the Hotel Management Program at New York University and holds a BA in Business and Education from Hunter College.
 
Director of Sales and Marketing Jeri Ann Hart was brought on by TPG Hospitality to work with the Boca Renaissance and Palm Beach Gardens Marriott to increase sales, marketing efforts and improve market reputation.  Hart has already increased transient business revenue and group revenue versus the same time last year. 
 
Jeri Ann began her Marriott career as the director of sales and marketing with the Delray Beach Marriott.  Additional experience includes positions with West Palm Beach Marriott, Embassy Suites in Williamsburg, VA, Ocean Properties, Ltd and Marriott Senior Living Services.  Hart attended Virginia Commonwealth University and also completed Marriott Sales School/Marriott Director of Marketing School.
