INDIANAPOLIS,
Ind., October 15, 2012 – The
Alexander, A Dolce Hotel
, has hired Gary Faehr to be its director of
finance and Maxie
(Lieberman) Haber to be its catering manager.
“Gary is an exceptional hotel professional, and we are lucky to have him at The Alexander,” said Michael Moros, general manager of The Alexander. “His skills and relevant experience at an art hotel like 21c will be very helpful as we prepare for our opening.” In addition to 21c, Faehr has also served as controller, director of finance and accountant at a variety of hotels throughout his career. “Maxie is a great addition to our team,” said Michael Moros, general manager of The Alexander. “With her catering expertise and creativity, she will be invaluable as our clients plan their meetings, weddings, and other events.” The Alexander, the only conference center in Indianapolis that is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), offers a range of options for meetings and events, from the 3,520 square-foot Alexander Ballroom to the intimate, 685 square-foot Ralston Penthouse Boardroom. A 2,400 square-foot outdoor terrace space and breakout session rooms in a variety of sizes provide flexibility for meeting and event planners to design an unforgettable and enriching experience for attendees. One especially unique offering from The Alexander, the Complete Meeting Package (CMP) and Day Meeting Package (DMP) are all-inclusive solutions designed to take the guesswork out of meeting planning and budgeting. Encompassing everything from meals to coffee and refreshment breaks at the hotel’s permanent nourishment hubs, A/V equipment, guest room accommodations and even gratuities, The Alexander’s meeting packages allow planners to pay a set price per person, helping them to stay on-budget and avoid unexpected expenses. About The Alexander Scheduled to open in early January 2013, The Alexander is a 209-room contemporary hotel and the centerpiece of Indianapolis’s new CityWay neighborhood. With a focus on art, design, environmental sustainability and creative local foods and beverages, The Alexander will bring an element of urban chic to downtown Indianapolis. The Plat99 lounge, designed by world-renowned artist and MacArthur Foundation “Genius” Grant winner Jorge Pardo, will feature artisan cocktails developed by expert mixologists, as well as a seasonal menu of small plates designed to perfectly accompany the cocktails. The Market Dining restaurant concept will showcase locally sourced ingredients and fresh creations. As a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), The Alexander is also an ideal destination for meetings and events, with state-of-the-art technology built into each meeting room and complete meeting packages available to suit a variety of needs. The hotel is named for Alexander Ralston, the city planner who laid out the original plan for Indy’s downtown in the early 19th century.
