The Alexander, A Dolce Hotel in Indianapolis, Indiana Hires Gary Faehr as
Director of Finance and Maxie (Lieberman) Haber as Catering Manager

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind., October 15, 2012 – The Alexander, A Dolce Hotel , has hired Gary Faehr to be its director of finance and Maxie (Lieberman) Haber to be its catering manager.

Faehr comes to The Alexander with 20 years of knowledge and experience in the hotel industry. As a former general manager who has directed man  hotel openings, Faehr’s skill set is uniquely suited to The Alexander as it prepares to open in January. Faehr’s previous experience includes serving as controller for 21c Museum Hotel in Louisville, Ky.; in addition to his financial role, Faehr was responsible for all aspects of the hotel’s opening, from hiring and training employees to ordering supplies and equipment.

“Gary is an exceptional hotel professional, and we are lucky to have him at The Alexander,” said Michael Moros, general manager of The Alexander. “His skills and relevant experience at an art hotel like 21c will be very helpful as we prepare for our opening.”

In addition to 21c, Faehr has also served as controller, director of finance and accountant at a variety of hotels throughout his career.

Haber comes to The Alexander from the Omni Severin Hotel in Indianapolis, where she was catering sales manager. At the Omni, Haber maintained a 98% satisfaction rate with all clients. At The Alexander, Maxie will lead a team that will provide exceptional catering services to complement The Alexander’s inspired meeting and event offerings, and uniquely original wedding packages.

“Maxie is a great addition to our team,” said Michael Moros, general manager of The Alexander. “With her catering expertise and creativity, she will be invaluable as our clients plan their meetings, weddings, and other events.”

The Alexander, the only conference center in Indianapolis that is a member of the International Association of Conference Centers (IACC), offers a range of options for meetings and events, from the 3,520 square-foot Alexander Ballroom to the intimate, 685 square-foot Ralston Penthouse Boardroom. A 2,400 square-foot outdoor terrace space and breakout session rooms in a variety of sizes provide flexibility for meeting and event planners to design an unforgettable and enriching experience for attendees.

One especially unique offering from The Alexander, the Complete Meeting Package (CMP) and Day Meeting Package (DMP) are all-inclusive solutions designed to take the guesswork out of meeting planning and budgeting.
