Captiva Island, Florida – October 19, 2012:  Rick Hayduk, Regional Managing Director for LXR Resorts & Hotels, Sanibel -Captiva, has announced the appointment of Cathy R. Ennis as Director of Sales for South Seas Island Resort.  In her new position, Ms. Ennis will oversee the group sales and catering sales teams at the resort located on Captiva Island along the Gulf Coast of Florida.

An experienced hotel sales professional, Ms. Ennis is rejoining South Seas Island Resort after a number of years at other Southwestern Florida resorts.  Her first stint with South Seas Island Resort was in 2002 and 2003 when she served as a National Sales Manager for South Seas and its sister property, Sundial Beach and Golf Resort on neighboring Sanibel Island, then managed by Interstate Hotels and Resorts.  Ms. Ennis subsequently joined the Pink Shell Beach Resort & Spa in Fort Myers Beach, Florida as Senior Sales Manager and was most recently Director of Sales for the Sanibel Harbour Marriott Resort & Spa in Fort Myers, Florida.
