The Radisson Blu Resort & Congress Centre, Sochi
The First Class hotel is conveniently located in the Adler district, directly bordering on Sochi’s 2014 Winter Games facilities and the Black Sea coast, adjacent to the promenade. Guests enjoy easy access to a variety of nearby transport options including the airport, train station and bus station. Besides 508 comfortable rooms with Radisson Blu signature services like free high speed internet access and Anne Sémonin bath products, the hotel features great dining and drinking experiences. Choices include the Grenadine Restaurant, which offers the Super Breakfast Buffet, plus a variety of international and local dishes served throughout the day – enhanced by breathtaking views of the Black Sea. The Mikado Sushi Bar serves fresh sushi and sashimi in a designer setting with lounge music creating an on-trend ambience. The Anatolian Kebab and Grill offers Mediterranean and Middle East delights, while the destination Lobby Bar & Lounge is an ideal spot to meet friends or colleagues for a beer or cocktail.
Special features of the resort include an on-site fitness centre, tennis court, billiards room and children’s recreational facilities. Guests can keep up their training while travelling at Pace - a premier health and wellness centre that comprises state-of-the-art equipment, an indoor pool and two outdoor pools. The spa centre offers beauty treatments, massages, manicures and a hairdressing studio. Finnish and Russian saunas, a hammam with relaxation area and a Jacuzzi are also available.
The resort’s Congress Centre certainly wins gold for meeting facilities, setting a whole new standard for the region. The 11 function- and meeting rooms including a Premier Hall of 1500 sqm are totally versatile and equipped with modern multimedia equipment and free high-speed internet access.
Sochi – formerly a humble Soviet spa town – is today known as the pearl of the Russian Riviera. Town and surroundings are undergoing a major transformation from a regional tourist hub into a global tourism destination in preparation for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Massive works are underway to improve the infrastructure and create modern attractions, including the construction of an Olympic Park on the Black Sea, theme parks and enhanced ski facilities. The first Russian Formula 1 Grand Prix is planned to be held end of 2014 on a race track winding around the Olympic Park. Sochi’s main stadium will also host the 2018 FIFA World Cup finals.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes
The company's youngest French flagship is housed in the former Court of Justice (Palais de Justice) – an elegant building that was constructed in 1851 and served as the Nantes Law Court until 2000. The First Class hotel's design maintains many former features, and combines them with a contemporary style. Guests can enjoy 142 modern rooms, dine in the former court room, use state-of-the-art conference facilities, and relax in the deluxe spa.
The city of Nantes is one of the most attractive and dynamic places in the Western part of France, and a cultural haven of history and modern art. Nantes is located on the river Loire and in the historic province of Brittany, and is the birthplace of legendary writer Jules Verne. The Radisson Blu Hotel awaits its guests in the heart of the city centre – within walking distance of a variety of attractions including La Cité-Nantes Events Centre and the Château des Ducs de Bretagne. The train station is less than 2 kilometers away from the hotel, the airport 10 kilometers.
Architect Jacques Cholet (DTACC) and interior designer Jean-Philippe Nuel have created a true jewel. Behind the classic facade, the 142 modern guest rooms (among them 15 junior suites and 5 suites) feature brown tones and white furniture exclusively designed for the hotel, decorative art iconographies that remind of masterpieces shown in museums of Nantes, spacious bathrooms, and Radisson Blu signature services like free high speed internet access.
The hotel's main restaurant "L'Assise" is located in the former court room; it has been re-invented as a unique contemporary restaurant where Chef Frédéric Laval combines traditional and modern recipes from the region. The former trial judge section now serves as the restaurant's wine cellar. In the evening, the upper walls of the room are transformed into a projection screen creating a modern ambience for diners in this storied locale. At the glamourous bar "Le Préambule" guests can order delicious cocktails and a variety of wines. Aligned with grandiose columns, the bar features a white wing used as a unique hosting table.
For business travelers, the Radisson Blu Hotel, Nantes offers six elegant meeting rooms that range in size from 37 to 76 square meters and can accommodate 95 guests. Each room provides free high speed internet access, modern business facilities, and the "savoir faire" of the experienced meetings- & events team. Also the impressive historical hotel lobby and a unique space on the mezzanine level are available to host unique events in an exceptional setting.
After a day of meetings or sightseeing in Nantes, the hotel's 200 square meters wellness area is the perfect place to unwind – comprising a luxurious spa including sauna and hammam, and a fully equipped gym.
