announces a new Spa Director and a new Food & Beverage
Director.
MICHAEL PEREZ - SPA DIRECTOR, TURNBERRY ISLE MIAMI
Perez joins Turnberry Isle Miami with over 14 years of experience and has overseen a number of spa openings and major renovations throughout the United States. Recognized as a foremost expert in the wellness industry, Perez’s unique skills and expertise have contributed to him appearing on television programs such as, Emeril Live.
Prior to his appointment, Perez served as Director of Spa & Fitness at the Four Seasons Resort Palm Beach and led his team through an extensive renovation and re-opening of the 15,000 square-foot facility. Previous to that, he served as Spa Director for mySpa Intercontinental Miami and focused on the launch of exclusive seasonal treatments, as well as training and hiring staff.
Perez’s impressive career in the spa industry also includes his role as Regional Spa Director for Spa Chakra, Inc., where he was involved in the openings and renewals of some of the most recognized spas including, the Guerlain Spa at the Regent Bal Harbour. He has also worked at the Loews Miami Beach as the Spa Director, and oversaw the debut of Elemis Spa.

Monti Felaya’s 15-plus-years career in the food and beverage industry includes various positions at four- and five-star properties throughout the U.S. Prior to his appointment at Turnberry Isle Miami, Felaya served as Director of Food & Beverage for New York-New York Las Vegas Hotel & Casino, where he developed new restaurant concepts and ensured all staff understood the hotel’s service culture. As the Director of Restaurants Development at the Wente Estate Winery in Livermore, CA, Felaya implemented staff training guidelines for all service areas and developed a wine list that received recognition from the most-respected wine industry outlets.

Bay Resort & Casino, Las Vegas, Felaya perfected his overall

skills and was responsible for the opening of restaurants, creating new
menus
and training new staff. Felaya was previously the Banquet Manager of
the Rye
Town Hilton in Rye Town, NY, and also an Assistant Banquet Manager at
The
Garden City Hotel on Long Island, NY. He received a Bachelor’s degree
in Hotel
and Tourism Management from the College of Hotel and Tourism at Helwan
University, Cairo, Egypt.
