SAINT LOUIS, MO, November 7, 2012 – St. Louis-based hotel owner, operator and developer, Midas Hospitality announces the hiring of Michael Herr, Director of Revenue Management.

As Midas Hospitality continues its aggressive hotel portfolio growth, it adds additional support to the hotels with the addition of a second Director of Revenue Management. Midas EVP & Principal – Sales & Marketing, Kurt Furlong, states “We are extremely pleased to add a seasoned hospitality veteran, Michael Herr to our Midas Hospitality corporate support team.”

Michael brings over 9 years of hotel experience, mainly in sales and revenue management.  In his most recent role as Regional Director of Revenue Management with Marcus Hotels, he was directly responsible for revenue strategy overseeing properties in Chicago, Houston, Columbus, and Madison.  In addition to these duties he provided corporate support for Marcus Hotels in the revenue management discipline for properties located in Minneapolis, St. Louis, Kansas City, and Oklahoma City, while being an intricate part of the launch of the Cornhusker Marriott in Lincoln, NE and the Westin - Atlanta Perimeter North.  Prior to that, Michael was the Director of Revenue Management for the Sheraton Clayton Plaza Hotel in St. Louis, MO. In his two and half years at this property Michael developed what became the model for total hotel revenue management for all of the Marcus hotels.

Before joining Marcus Hotels and Resorts Michael administered multi-property revenue management with Lodging Hospitality Management where he gained experience as Director of Sales and Revenue for the Hilton Garden Inn Chesterfield and the Hampton Inn and Suites St. Louis Forest Park. He followed his role in Revenue Management with multiple Hilton products in the St. Louis market while being based at the Doubletree Hotel in Westport.

Michael's background with the Starwood Brand, Hilton Brand, and most recently the Marriott Brand, gives him a diverse perspective in managing revenue strategy.  He has been nominated for Revenue Leadership/Professional awards for the St. Louis Area Hotel Association, Starwood Hotels and Resorts, and HSMAI
