Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach Opens Following
Rebranding of the Former Sala Talay Resort in Thailand

Singapore
, 14 November 2012 – The Holiday Inn brand opens the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach in Thailand this month at the former Sala Talay Resort. The rebranding of the resort adds yet another Holiday Inn flag on Thailand’s map and also marks another milestone in the history of the brand as it celebrates its 60th birthday this year.

Situated on one of Thailand’s most well-known holiday locations, the resort immediately adds another 55 rooms to Holiday Inn’s existing 3,293 rooms across the country, with another 133 to be added via a new wing by October 2013.

The new wing will also house the brand’s renowned Holiday Inn KidSuites®, offering separate sleeping berths and other family-friendly facilities, to make for a more relaxing and enjoyable holiday for both parents and children. The kids’ section of the suite comes equipped with bunk beds and a play corner, including a flat screen TV, a DVD player, a game console, electronic games and toy boxes, ensuring the kids enjoy their entertainment in their own space.

“While we cater to all travellers seeking an idyllic getaway and ensure every guest has the best experience at our resort, the addition of the Holiday Inn KidSuites® will further enhance our commitment to family guests,” said General Manager, Steve Ng.

“The new suites, combined with our Kids Stay and Eat Free programme* will make family getaways with us fun and affordable, whilst always remaining relaxing for parents who need to rest and recharge too.”

The resort, which is set along Krabi’s Ao Nang beachfront, is both contemporary in design and environmentally sensitive. It offers guests a full range of services and facilities, including an outdoor free-form swimming pool, a fitness centre, Kid’s Club and a well-stocked book and DVD library in the Resort Centre.

The resort also offers a range of holistic Thai massages and treatments at its spa. A range of dishes from across Asia are served at InAsia, the resort’s restaurant, which has panoramic views over Ao Nang Beach.

Presently the resort features a choice of four spacious room types, ranging between 45sqm and 95sqm. The 19 Deluxe Rooms offer all the Holiday Inn standard amenities and 45sqm of free living space and balcony views, while the 21 Pool Access Rooms offer ground floor living accommodation and 45sqm of spacious comfort. The 13 65sqm Grand Deluxe Suites will ensure total privacy and relaxation, and the 2 Penthouse Suites have 95sqm of space and great views over the hotel grounds. In-room features include crisp bedding with a choice of soft and firm pillows, a large walk-in rain shower, bath tubs in all rooms, free wireless internet, a spacious balcony/terrace with pool views or scenic views over Ao Nang and much more.

Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach is situated just a 30-minute drive from Krabi International Airport and a 10-minute walk from the entertainment and shopping areas of Ao Nang, yet still provides guests with a sense of serenity and seclusion.

Outdoor sightseeing options are not far away, with island-hopping trips to the famous Railay Beach and the beautiful Phi Phi, Hong and Lanta islands, along with visits to the Emerald Pool, the hot spring waterfalls and the jungles of Krabi all easily arranged from the resort tour desk. Adrenaline junkies will also be able to enjoy rock climbing, diving, snorkelling, kayaking and a whole range of other water and land based activities.

For families with younger children, the Kid’s Club offers an array of activities where the kids can enjoy themselves under the watchful eyes of fully trained child-minders. Three resort swimming pools also surround the new wing area, one of which comes complete with a large water slide.
