Four Points by Sheraton Berlin Airport to Open at the
New Berlin Brandenburg International Airport

A 2014 Opening is Planned for the 253-room Hotel Owned by Proprietas s.r.o

BERLIN--Nov. 7, 2012-- Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc. (NYSE: HOT) today announced plans to introduce its rapidly expanding Four Points by Sheraton brand to Berlin in 2014. Owned by Proprietas s.r.o., Four Points® by Sheraton Berlin Airport will be the first Four Points by Sheraton hotel in Berlin and the third for the brand in Germany. Starwood’s Four Points by Sheraton brand’s ‘best for business’ approach provides travellers with everything that matters most with stylish design and an uncomplicated friendly approach to hospitality and service – all at a great value. This new-build hotel will be located adjacent to a new business park and just a few kilometres from Berlin Brandenburg International Airport, which is currently under construction in Germany’s capital city.

The signing of Four Points by Sheraton Berlin Airport is part of Starwood’s expansion strategy to open more than 25 hotels across Europe over the next four years.

“We are delighted to partner with E&O Hotels as we introduce the Four Points by Sheraton brand to Berlin,” said Roeland Vos, President, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa, and Middle East. “Growing the Four Points by Sheraton brand in key European markets, where we see strong demand for affordable yet innovative lodging options, is core to our development strategy.”

Assaf Onn, CEO of E&O Hotels says: “We are proud of our partnership with Starwood Hotels & Resorts to open the new Four Points by Sheraton Berlin Airport. With easy access to what is expected to become one of Germany’s most important airports, this hotel will undoubtedly become a major attraction for business travellers who appreciate modern hotel facilities at a moderate price.”

Four Points by Sheraton Berlin Airport will feature 253 comfortable and stylish guest rooms, two restaurants, a lobby bar, a 24-hour fitness centre as well as meeting and event space and a fully-equipped business centre. The hotel will also feature all of the brand’s defining elements, including the signature Four Points by Sheraton Four Comfort bed and free Wi-Fi in all public areas, reflecting the brand’s promise and insight into the needs of today’s traveller.

With more than 170 hotels around the world, Four Points by Sheraton has solidified its place as Starwood’s third largest brand with the second-biggest global pipeline.

“With one of the strongest pipelines in the Starwood portfolio, Four Points by Sheraton offers a compelling blend of comfort, style and affordability, making it an increasingly attractive choice for owners and developers across Europe,” said Bart Carnahan, Senior Vice President Acquisitions & Development, Starwood Hotels & Resorts, Europe, Africa & Middle East.

Always an honest value, Four Points by Sheraton has great amenities like free bottled water and free Wi-Fi in public spaces. A delicious breakfast with great coffee and refreshing, local beer with Best Brews help guests to start and end the day right. Four Points by Sheraton gives travellers everything they need to be comfortable and productive on the road.

Starwood currently operates over 70 hotels and resorts throughout East Central Europe, including 25 hotels in Germany. Over the next two years, Starwood will open three new hotels in Germany under the company’s Element, Westin and Four Points by Sheraton brands.

Berlin Brandenburg International Airport is scheduled to open by end 2013 and is projected to become Germany’s third busiest airport.
