News for the Hospitality Executive |
ATLANTA, Ga. – December
11, 2012 - Hunter Hotel Conference organizers today said that
they expect to
see especially strong interest in hotel finance from attendees.
Set for
March 20 – 22, 2013, at the Atlanta Marriott Marquis, the Hunter Hotel
Conference is celebrating its silver anniversary. The conference
is
responding with both “main tent” and break-out panels on finance,
ranging from
acquisition financing to refinancing to CMBS 2.0. The Hunter
Hotel
Conference, one of the nation’s top four hotel investment conferences,
attracts
more than 800 hotel owners, investors, lenders, franchisers and
industry
leaders to learn about and discuss an array of timely hotel real estate
and
finance topics. “For the past few years, the discussion revolved around when financing was going to return to the hotel industry,” said founder Bob Hunter, conference co-chair and CEO of Hunter Realty. “This year, the topic is shifting to what are the best sources and best terms available. As an industry we’re not out of the woods yet from a finance perspective. Hotel financing is becoming more available and we are optimistic this trend will continue. We expect to see more members from the lending/banking community at this year’s conference.” In addition to a strong emphasis on finance, the 25th anniversary conference also will highlight new development opportunities in the renewed economy. “Our focus year-round is to stay ahead of the curve to understand what our attendees need and refine our offerings in order to stay relevant,” said Lee Hunter, conference co-chair and COO of Hunter Realty. “This year we are lining up the leading industry innovators and thought leaders with a blend of timely topics that our attendees can take home and put to work.” Over the past 25 years, the conference has attracted thousands of hotel owners and industry executives from across the country who want to learn the latest trends in hotel ownership and to build relationships. Proceeds from the Hunter Hotel Conference provide scholarships which benefit students of Georgia State University’s Cecil B. Day School of Hospitality.
