In this newly created role, Mr. Turina will report directly to Stephanie Nojima, director of sales and marketing, and is responsible for selling, promoting and optimizing revenue for the food and beverage and catering departments. Formerly a guest service representative with another Outrigger-managed property, the Holiday Inn® Waikiki Beachcomber Resort, Mark Turina has gained valuable hospitality experience working in various supervisory positions, including front desk night auditor and relief hotel manager. Prior to joining the Holiday Inn Waikiki Beachcomber Resort, Turina worked for the City of Portland Parks and Recreation Department as camp coordinator and was later promoted to marketing and promotions coordinator where he gained experience in initiating new marketing programs. “With Mark’s valuable experience with Outrigger and knowledge of the internal operating systems, coupled with his supervisory, sales and hotel operational background, he is well-suited for his new role and a welcome addition to our team,” said Miranda. Originally from Portland Oregon, Turina is a graduate of the University of Hawaii with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics.
