Joseph Dantoni Appointed as General Manager for the
Melrose Hotel, a Washington DC Boutique Hotel

WASHINGTON, D.C. (September 26, 2012) – The recently reinvented, Melrose Hotel -- a glamorously chic, art-deco inspired Washington DC boutique hotel -- proudly announces Joseph Dantoni as general manager. With more than 20 years experience in luxury hotel operations and a designation as General Manager of the Year by Remington Hotels, Dantoni aims to usher in a new era of style and customer service at the newly enhanced and redesigned Melrose Hotel.

With a dedication to providing world-class customer service, a track record of strong achievement at upscale properties and being recognized as the general manager of the year, Dantoni is well equipped to lead the seasoned staff of the iconic Georgetown property.

Dantoni’s experience as general manager includes the 144-key Historic Inns of Annapolis, a historic boutique hotel in Annapolis, Md., where in January 2011 Dantoni was named Remington Hotels’ General Manager of the Year and he increased revenues to the highest levels in property history and significantly improved guest service scores. He also served as general manager at The Lodge at Woodloch in Hawley, Penn., where he oversaw the vision, positioning, goals and marketing direction as the lodge opened its doors and became an instant success. Dantoni’s hospitality management background also includes positions with the Harbor Court Hotel in Baltimore, Md. and Omni Hotels in Washington, D.C.
