GuestWare Seeking an Implementation & Training Specialist
for its Seattle Based Office

Position Profile: 

The Implementation & Training Specialist is responsible for both remote implementations and traveling to the customer site to setup GuestWare, train the hotel and go live with the system.  Potentially 75% of an Installation & Training Specialist’s time could be spent at the customer’s place of business. The initial responsibilities will involve more online training and remote configuration work.  This position will be based in Seattle at the Guestware offices in Fisher Plaza.  Eventually, travel will take you to hotels around the globe in all regions of the world.  This position will report to the Vice president of Sales. 

Job Responsibilities:
  • Learn all aspects of the GuestWare software functionality.
  • Learn the basics of the underlying GuestWare technology and operating environments it will be installed in.
  • Learn the hotels processes required to use the software.
  • Learn the training materials required to deliver onsite, classroom and individual training and presentations.
  • Learn and follow the GuestWare operating procedures for planning and delivering each hotel GuestWare implementation including assisting in site preparation, developing training agenda,  booking travel, working with the IT contacts and obtaining customer signoffs, updating internal systems and expense reporting.
  • Lead the onsite implementation including the Management meetings, training room setup, configuration, training and go-live with live support.
  • Work with the GuestWare Support team to help resolve technical issues that arise on site.
  • Conduct classroom training sessions when requested by customer.
  • Conduct online training sessions and remote configuration work.
  • Work on training related projects when not travelling on customer implementations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest functionality of the GuestWare software.
Requirements:
  • Must be fluent in English including strong reading and writing skills. Additional languages a plus.
  • Must have 2 years + experience working in a full service hotel or resort, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role, with a solid understanding of hotel operations
  • Must have road warrior work experience (travelling for work) preferably as a trainer of software with a desire to travel.
  • Must be very comfortable and confident working with computers and software
  • Must be proficient with the MS Windows computing environment, i.e. MS Office such as Word and Excel
  • Experience with technical products (hardware, networking, software) a plus
  • Experience developing training materials or technical writing a plus
  • Customer service or account representative experience desirable
  • Must have strong organizational skills
  • Must be self-directed and motivated with the ability to follow through and meet deadlines
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Enjoys working with people
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
