The Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging Association (BLLA) Names Winners
Los Angeles,
CA (September 18, 2012) – The Boutique & Lifestyle Lodging
Association
(BLLA) announced the winners at the third annual Boutique &
Lifestyle
Hospitality Awards which were held during the HD Boutique Show in
Miami, FL.
Properties from around the world had the opportunity to compete in six
categories including three overall winning Awards for Boutique Hotel of
the
Year 2012, Lifestyle Hotel of the Year 2012 and Boutique &
Lifestyle
Hotelier of the Year 2012.
Following are the WINNERS: BOUTIQUE HOTEL OF THE YEAR: 1st Place and WINNER of the 2012 Boutique Hotel of the Year Award is: The Betsy Hotel, Miami Beach, FL, USA. LIFESTYLE HOTEL OF THE YEAR: 1st Place and WINNER of the 2012 Lifestyle Hotel of the Year Award is: The Sorella Hotel, Houston, TX, USA. BOUTIQUE & LIFESTYLE HOTELIER OF THE YEAR: 1st Place and WINNER of the 2012 Boutique & Lifestyle Hotelier of the Year Award is: Jonathan Plutzik, Principal owner and Chairman, The Betsy Hotel, Miami Beach, FL, USA. were presented on the second day of the HD Boutique Trade Show &
Conference
during a luncheon ceremony which included a panel discussion of
executives
including Arash Azarbarzin from sbe Hotels/SLS, Brendan McNamara from
Hampshire
Hotels/Dream/Night and Richard Millard from Trust Hospitality/Indie
Boutique
Hotels. The panel moderators were Frances Kiradjian, Founder and Chair
of the
BLLA and Stacy Shoemaker Rauen, Executive Editor of Hospitality Design
Magazine. A gourmet lunch, prepared by Chef Barnett and team from the
Miami
Beach Convention Center, was served and all guests received a gift from
Concept
Amenities and a chance to win prizes donated by luncheon Sponsors
Brookstone
and Leaders Casual Furniture. Panel seating was arranged by PolArt.
Additionally, BLLA Pavilion participants also sponsored the luncheon
including
Shadescapes Americas, Bontempi and Sifas.
