Crawford’s duties as director of sales and marketing include creating and overseeing the properties’ yearly business and marketing plans, as well as directing and managing all group, transient, catering/banquet sales activities to maximize revenue for The Westin Beach Resort and Spa, Fort Lauderdale and the Sheraton Fort Lauderdale Beach Hotel. “Bringing more than 12 years of expertise, delivering extraordinary sales and marketing results while working for the Starwood brand, Blake is very well suited for this position,” said Amaury Piedra, complex general manager. “We’re thrilled to have Blake continue his Starwood journey as a member of our complex team.”
Crawford’s know-how stems from more than 16 years of overall experience in the hospitality industry, most recently, having worked as the Atlanta Metro Market Sales Leader for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, where he oversaw the group and transient sales efforts for more than 3,250 rooms at eight Starwood hotels in the market. Prior to that position, Crawford gained industry knowledge working at The Westin Peachtree Plaza, Sheraton Gateway Atlanta, Sheraton Gainesville Hotel, Pier House Resort & Caribbean Spa in Key West, as well as Wyndham Miami Biscayne Bay.
