News for the Hospitality Executive |
DALLAS
(July
17, 2012) – Pegasus Solutions
has named industry veteran Michael O’Connell senior vice
president, distribution and demand sales. O’Connell is returning to
Pegasus
after more than four years away to focus on channel and demand sales
growth for
Pegasus’ nearly 100,000 global hotel customers.
In his previous role at Pegasus, O’Connell served as senior director of business development, managing cultivation of business partnerships worldwide, including key markets like Russia, Brazil and Eastern Europe. During his time away from Pegasus, he helped expand global distribution networks for TripCase, Sabre Holdings’ mobile travel service, and LeisureLink, a start-up providing technology support to the vacation rental segment. “Michael carries a reputation of being a high-caliber and focused performer,” said David Millili, chief executive officer of Pegasus Solutions. “In addition to the skills he brought to Pegasus before, he now possesses an even greater understanding of hospitality demand in non-traditional distribution channels like mobile and vacation rental, which are among the many emerging markets Pegasus has highlighted for growth.” O’Connell will be based in the Dallas office, and joins the company just prior to the Global Business Travel Association Convention, July 22-25 in Boston.
