July 17, 2012, SCOTTSDALE, ARIZONA – Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto, Baja California Sur, Mexico is pleased to announce that Donald Weintraub has been hired as its new Director of Sales & Marketing.  Weintraub will work out of the company’s office in Scottsdale, Arizona, and will work to promote Villa del Palmar at the Islands of Loreto as one of the premiere travel destinations on the Mexican coast.

Weintraub has worked in the hospitality industry for nearly 30 years, and has had a special focus on Loreto.  He began his career with Princess Hotels International and the Acapulco Princess in the 1980s, when Mexico became his favorite travel destination.  In 2004, he worked for the Loreto Bay Company, working to promote tourism to the region.

He has held management positions both in rooms operations and in sales & marketing for a variety of other companies in the hospitality industry.  He has been involved with promotions for the Sheraton Corporation New York, Princess Hotels International New York and Scottsdale, CopperWynd Resort & Club Scottsdale, Woodlands Resort/Conference Center in Texas, Half Moon, Montego Bay, Jamaica and St. Regis Monarch Beach Dana Point, California.
