August 31, 2012 - Kevin Escoto, a five-year hospitality veteran, was recently hired as Director of Operations at the Hilton Garden Inn San Diego/Del Mar. He will oversee the front desk and the daily operations of the property and will also provide support to the Homewood Suites by Hilton San Diego/Del Mar, adjacent to the Hilton Garden Inn and part of the “campus.” Originally from Claremont, California, Escoto most recently headed the front desk at the DoubleTree by Hilton Claremont as the Director of Front Office. “We’re excited to have Kevin at our hotels to elevate operational efficiency and the guest experience,” said Bob Rauch, president of R.A. Rauch & Associates, the hospitality management firm of both Del Mar hotels. Hilton Garden Inn San Diego/Del Mar Built in 2008 in Torrey Hills, the 80-room Hilton Garden Inn has consistently run close to 80 percent occupany despite the recession.
