Hans Rouillard Named Executive Chef of the 310-key
Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Virginia

Leesburg, Va. – August 10, 2012 – Hans Rouillard, an accomplished food and beverage industry veteran with experiences spanning the resort and corporate level, has been named the new Executive Chef at Lansdowne Resort in Leesburg, Va., resort representatives announced today. Rouillard joins Lansdowne Resort after nearly 30 years in the hospitality industry including extensive stints with Disney and Hyatt hotel brands. The resort is owned by LaSalle Hotel Properties and managed by Destination Hotels & Resorts. Rouillard assumed his new role on August 6.

“Chef (Rouillard) brings a valuable level of experience and expertise with him to the resort and to the membership at The Golf Club at Lansdowne,” said Lloyd Williams, General Manager at Lansdowne Resort. “His versatility and strong track record of creating world-class dining experiences will be critical to the success of our talented food and beverage department. Aside from our staff, the beneficiaries of his knowledge will be our valuable guests and meeting attendees who will witness his vision through our menus and unique culinary events.”

Prior to joining Lansdowne Resort, Rouillard spent several years serving as an executive chef at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla. He later moved to Los Angeles, Calif., where he led and supported corporate initiatives as a director of culinary operations for Disney Regional Entertainment. Rouillard also spent nearly a decade with Hyatt hotel properties located in Scottsdale, Ariz., Knoxville, Tenn., and Los Angeles.

As Executive Chef at Lansdowne Resort, Rouillard will be responsible for leading the entire resort culinary staff. Responsibilities will include product conceptualization, implementation of new menus, recipe development, and ongoing quality assurance processes and systems, among other significant contributions.

Lansdowne Resort is located in historic Loudoun County about 40 minutes west of Washington DC and eight miles north of Dulles International Airport. The AAA Four Diamond property is International Association of Conference Center (IACC) and Virginia Green certified and has 296 luxury guest rooms and 14 suites. Amenities and resort recreation include five restaurants; an Aquatic Complex with five pools and a waterslide; three tennis courts; 12,000 square foot Spa Minérale with 13 treatment rooms; and The Golf Club at Lansdowne with 45 holes of golf designed by Robert Trent Jones and Greg Norman, and managed by Troon Golf.
