Atlanta, GA–August 24, 2012 – Atlanta-based Hotel Equities (HE) recently celebrated the Grand Re-Opening of the 82-room Fairfield Inn hotel located at 3211 Executive Drive in Clearwater, Florida with a ribbon cutting ceremony hosted by Elizabeth Derby, Hotel Equities Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The hotel experienced a renovation of its guest rooms and public spaces. Catherine Carter serves as the General Manager.

CDE Hotel Properties, LLC owns the Fairfield Inn-St. Petersburg-Clearwater located just north of I-275 at the gateway to the St. Petersburg-Clearwater International Airport.

The hotel is the third property in the greater Tampa area under management by Hotel Equities. Other hotels include the Treasure Bay Hotel & Marina, Treasure Bay, FL and Fairfield Inn & Suites Holiday Tarpon Springs.

At the event, Ms Derby recognized and welcomed a number of local dignitaries including: Dave Moore, Former Tampa Bay Buccaneer; Angel Natel, St. Petersburg/Clearwater Sports Commission; Jeanine Messerschmidt, St Petersburg/Clearwater CVB; Clark East, Partner, CDE Hotels, LLC; and Kathy Gerber, Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce.

More than a dozen golf courses lie within a ten-mile radius of the hotel. Activities for the outdoor enthusiast in addition to the nearby beaches include fly-fishing, horseback riding, sailing, scuba diving, biking and much more. Busch Gardens, the Salvador Dali Museum and the Florida Aquarium beckon guests of all ages.
