KniTec has adopted the Pro:Centric™ applications platform developed by LG Electronics to deliver the AdRev Solution to hotel properties with compatible LG TVs so guests can gain access to on-screen advertising information on hotel amenities and local businesses, which generates additional revenue for the hotel. By simultaneously enhancing the guest experience and boosting the property’s bottom line, KniTec has created a true win-win situation for any hotel.

LG’s Pro:Centric platform acts as a digital concierge by communicating information to guests using customizable digital “billboards” accessed through the guest room television. A portion of the billboards are reserved for promoting in-house amenities such as spa, golf and dining services, while the remaining are used as a medium to advertise local businesses such as restaurants, shops and entertainment activities. In-house service sales can increase as guests are exposed to these billboards every time they turn on their TV, and, revenue generation does not end there.
KniTec sells billboard space to local businesses interested in advertising their product/service to hotel guests, and the hotel receives a portion of all billboard advertising sales. Each billboard ad includes an exclusive offer for hotel guests. While guests gain access to local businesses and exclusive deals through the in-room digital concierge, the hotel receives up to 30 percent of the billboard advertising revenue earned.

The Pro:Centric server is installed in the property’s head-end room, and is connected to each guest room TV over the existing RF or IP network. Pro:Centric is managed remotely and modifications to the billboard ads can be completed in a matter of minutes via a remote administration client enabling accurate and up-to-date distribution of information to guests.
