Washington, D.C. – May 30, 2012 – The 384-suite Embassy Suites Washington D.C. Convention Center has recently completed a $7.5 million renovation of its guest rooms and public space. The makeover includes design elements to brighten the ambiance and update amenities providing a fresh, modern environment for the hotel located blocks from the Walter E. Washington Convention Center. The hotel’s lobby and manager reception area were included with upgrades and new design features.

The hotel redesigned guest room furniture, adding more work space with electrical plugs and outlets to be sure guests had enough connectivity. The hotels spacious suites continue to appeal to today’s traveler by affording more space to work and relax than the average one-room hotel accommodations in the local market.
Guest suites are appointed with sleek sofas with pull out beds flanked by sophisticated side chairs in the living area. Additional highlights include comfortable new bedding, cabinetry and furnishings with granite topped counters. Energy efficient lighting and thermostats as well as microwaves, new carpeting, wall coverings and flat panel screen LCD televisions were part of the new modern amenities. The hotel features 8,000 square feet of meeting space including five meeting rooms, as well as a business center, concierge services, a small gift shop and a fitness center.
