Hersha Hospitality Management (HHM) Completes its Senior
Leadership Team with the Addition of Industry Veterans

Simon Little, Scott Dahl, and Joann Weber

PHILADELPHIA, April 2, 2012 – HHM, an industry-leading hotel management, investment, and development firm, announced today the addition of Simon Little as Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing , Scott Dahl as Vice President of Revenue Management, and Joann Weber as Vice President of Human Resources.

Mike Murray, Chief Operating Officer of HHM said, “The addition of Simon, Scott, and Joann is pivotal to the steady and sustained growth plans at HHM.  Their combined experience and extremely successful track records across all segments, including full service and luxury hotels, in addition to their experience with third-party owners is exactly what we hoped to attract to take our company to the next level.”

Mr. Little, formerly Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Highgate Holdings, Mr. Dahl, formerly Vice President of Revenue Management for Sunstone Hotels Investors, and Ms. Weber, formerly Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Foxwoods Resort Casino, will join the rest of HHM’s Senior Management Team at the company’s corporate offices in Philadelphia.  They will report directly to Chief Operating Officer, Mike Murray.  HHM operates both branded and independent hotels for a variety of owners, including Hersha Hospitality Trust and Starwood Capital Group.

Simon J. Little – Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing
As Senior Vice President of Sales & Marketing, Simon oversees all of the company’s sales and marketing disciplines at the national, regional and property level. Simon brings with him over 22 years of hospitality experience specializing in staff development and retention, hotel repositioning and re-branding. He has worked with all major brands including Hilton, Starwood, Marriott, Wyndham, IHG, and Hyatt representing key assets in gateway cities. Prior to joining HHM, Simon was the Vice President Sales & Marketing for Highgate Holdings, a position he held for six years. He was charged with the responsibility of building a sales culture while implementing an infrastructure to support the company’s unprecedented growth in markets which included NYC, San Francisco, Las Vegas, Washington DC, and Toronto. During Simon’s 22 years in the hospitality industry, he has led sales & marketing efforts for Marriott International in London, Hilton Hotels in NYC, Millennium Hotels in NYC, and for Fairmont Hotels & Resorts in Bermuda.

Scott Dahl – Vice President of Revenue Management
As Vice President of Revenue Management, Scott is responsible for rooms pricing, sales strategy and eCommerce across the portfolio. In total, Scott has more than 25 years of experience in the industry, including eleven years of multi-property revenue management oversight. Before joining HHM, Scott operated a consulting firm that developed enterprise revenue management software and provided revenue management for hire to hotels.  He has also held corporate level leadership positions in revenue management at Interstate Hotels and Resorts, Lodgian, and most recently was Senior VP of Revenue Management for Sunstone Hotel Investors.  Scott graduated from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1986 with a degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration, and in 2006 was recognized as one of the "25 Outstanding Minds in Hotel Sales and Marketing” by Hotel Sales and Marketing Association International.  He is also the current Past President of the Board of Directors of the Boys and Girls Club of South Orange County, California and recently was elected to the Executive Board of the Cradle of Liberty Council of the Boy Scouts of America in HHM’s home city of Philadelphia.

Joann Weber – Vice President of Human Resources
Ms. Weber joined HHM in July of 2011 as Vice President of Human Resources. Previously, Ms. Weber was the opening Vice President of Human Resources at Sugar House Casino in Philadelphia and Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Foxwoods Resort Casino in Mashantucket Connecticut where she served over 11,000 associates.   Ms. Weber also served in various leadership capacities for 12 years with Carnival Hotels and Casinos, based out of Miami Florida, which managed over 40 branded hotels. Ms. Weber received a bachelor’s degree in Management & Labor Relations from LaSalle University.
