Best Western Opens its First PREMIER Hotel in Brazil with the 150-key
BEST WESTERN PREMIER Majestic Ponta Negra Beach

PONTA NEGRA NATAL, Brazil, April 19, 2012-- Best Western International continues its expansion in South America with the addition of the chain's first BEST WESTERN PREMIER hotel in Brazil, the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Majestic Ponta Negra Beach.

The five-star hotel, adjacent to Ponta Negra, the most famous beach in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, offers guests 135 rooms and 15 suites – including several with sweeping views of Ponta Negra Beach.

With the opening of the BEST WESTERN PREMIER Majestic Ponta Negra Beach, global travelers now can select from 17 Best Western hotels in Brazil.

"Best Western is well positioned as one of the largest global hotel brands in Brazil, and as people continue to discover Brazil both for leisure and business travel we're confident they'll find that our hotels offer the right level of amenities and hospitality," said David Kong, president and CEO of Best Western International. "By 2017, our goal is to develop and open an additional 20 hotels in Brazil with the majority operating at the BEST WESTERN PLUS and BEST WESTERN PREMIER levels."

The BEST WESTERN PREMIER Majestic Ponta Negra Beach features an elegant and glamorous design, and is home to La Brasserie de La Mer, a sophisticated French restaurant by renowned Sao Paulo chef Eric Jacquin.

Guest and hotel amenities include free Wi-Fi, complimentary breakfast, ocean view rooms, cocktail lounge, outdoor pool, 24-hour room service, concierge service, and meeting and conference facilities. Rates start around $200 Brazilian Real (BRL).

In South America, there are more than 40 hotels that carry the Best Western flag in eight countries, including Venezuela, Chile, Columbia, Peru, Uruguay, Argentina and Surinam.
